HIV Prevention: AIDS Commission reports rise in HIV infections among young people | AM News

The Ghana AIDS Commission is raising concerns about HIV infections among young people, highlighting the need for stronger prevention measures, increased awareness, and improved access to HIV testing and treatment. According to the Commission’s 2025 HIV estimates, Ghana recorded 13,951 new HIV infections in 2025, down from 16,189 in 2024. However, 3,835 new infections occurred among young people aged 15–24, accounting for 27.5% of all new cases.
