How to get a Ghana Card
- 1Pre-register and book an appointment at register.nia.gov.gh.
- 2Gather proof of citizenship (e.g. birth certificate or passport).
- 3Attend your appointment in person for biometric capture (photo & fingerprints).
- 4Track your status online and collect your card when ready.
How to apply for / renew a passport
- 1Create an account on the Ghana.gov passport portal.
- 2Buy the passport form online with mobile money or card.
- 3Upload the required documents (incl. proof of profession where needed).
- 4Book an appointment, then visit a Passport Application Centre for biometrics.
How to buy ECG prepaid electricity
- 1Have your meter number ready.
- 2Dial *922# (any network) or open the ECG PowerApp.
- 3Enter your meter number and the amount, then pay with mobile money.
- 4Load the token into your meter — buy only from official channels.
How to register a business
- 1Do a name search and reserve your business name with the ORC.
- 2Complete registration (sole proprietorship or company) online or in person.
- 3Obtain your TIN — for individuals this is your Ghana Card PIN.
- 4Register for the relevant taxes with the GRA.
How to file taxes online
- 1Register on the GRA Taxpayers Portal with your TIN / Ghana Card PIN.
- 2Select the tax type and period you are filing for.
- 3Complete the return and submit it online.
- 4Pay any tax due via the portal, mobile money or your bank.
How to check WAEC results
- 1Buy a results checker voucher (PIN & serial number).
- 2Visit eresults.waecgh.org or ghana.waecdirect.org.
- 3Enter your index number and select the exam type and year.
- 4Enter the voucher details and submit to view or print your results.
