Newsletter FAQs
When does the briefing arrive?
It lands in the morning in Ghana, which is the evening before for most of North America and the afternoon for the UK. You get the day’s most important Ghanaian stories summarised while they are still fresh.
Is it really free?
Yes. The newsletter is free and always will be. GhanaSummary is funded by advertising, not by charging readers.
How do you choose the stories?
Our crawler pulls from a dozen-plus Ghanaian publishers, removes duplicates and near-duplicates, then clusters related coverage into single stories with one combined summary. The briefing sends you the top clusters of the day.
Do you alter the original reporting?
No. Every summary links back to the original articles, and we credit each publisher whose reporting the story is based on. GhanaSummary summarises and clusters — it does not rewrite or take ownership of the news.
I would rather get push notifications. Is that still available?
Yes, push notifications are separate and remain free. Subscribe on your phone browser and opt in. The email briefing is a good complement if you read on a laptop, or if you have push notifications turned off.
