Dapuoha dam completed in the Upper West Region to fight poverty, boost climate-resilient livelihoods

Laari, has inspected the completed Dapuoha Small Earth Dam in the Upper West Region, highlighting its contribution to poverty reduction, water security and climate-resilient livelihoods.

The intervention reflects GPSNP 2's approach of moving from cash-for-work to work-for-resilience, combining employment creation, poverty reduction and climate adaptation through productive community infrastructure.

As the project approaches closure, Professor Laari underscored the importance of community ownership, effective maintenance and productive use of the dam to sustain its benefits.
