Ghana Amputee Football Federation appeals judgment barring it from organising amputee football in Ghana

Share: Following the delivery of the Judgment of the High Court of Justice (Commercial Division) by Justice Jerome Noble-Nkrumah (JA) sitting as additional High Court Judge which perpetually restrained the Ghana Amputee Football Federation from holding itself out as the lawful body with oversight responsibility for Amputee football in Ghana, the Appellant has filed an appeal at the Court of Appeal against the National Sports Authority (NSA), National Paralympic Committee of Ghana and the Ghana Amputee Football Association.
The Ghana Amputee Football Federation on September 30, 2026 filed the appeal to set aside the whole judgment and for the Court of Appeal to enter judgement in its favour, It would be recalled that the High Court of Justice (Commercial Division) judgment had declared hat the plaintiff, Ghana Amputee Football Federation being not recognized by the 1st and 2nd defendants (National Sports Authority and National Paralympic Committee of Ghana) and indeed by the World Amputee Football Federation (WAFF), cannot hold itself out as the lawful body with oversight responsibility for the management of Amputee football in Ghana.
Justice Jerome Noble-Nkrumah (JA), sitting as an additional High Court Judge, had further ruled that the plaintiff, Ghana Amputee Football Federation was perpetually restrained whether by itself, its servant or servants, agents, assigns or privies from holding itself out as the lawful body with oversight responsibility for Amputee football in Ghana.
