Kwesi Pratt Jr warns bus preachers are adding to passengers’ stress with accident prophecies

Veteran journalist Kwesi Pratt Jnr has criticised preachers who use commercial bus journeys to deliver religious messages about fatal road accidents, saying the practice adds to the stress and anxiety of passengers.
Speaking on Accra-based Metro TV on Wednesday, October 14, during a discussion on the proposed restriction on preaching and hawking in commercial vehicles, Mr Pratt Jr said passengers should not have to endure frightening messages during already stressful journeys.
He also questioned which religious message should be permitted if commercial vehicles were treated as spaces for unrestricted evangelism, noting that passengers could belong to different faiths.
