‘Who is persecuting whom?’ - Tanko Computer responds to NPP claims over Wontumi’s sentence

Rashid Tanko Computer says Wontumi’s trial was not political The Deputy Director of IT and Elections of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Rashid Tanko Computer, has defended the 20-year sentence handed to the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, (NPP) Bernard Antwi Bosiako widely known as Chairman Wontumi.

Tanko Computer warned that the consequences of the pollution of water bodies due to illegal mining activities widely known as galamsey could affect everyone regardless of their location.

Wontumi has been sentenced to 20 years of hard labour by the Accra High Court for illegal mining activities in Samreboi.
