Several communities and businesses in the Greater Accra Region are expected to experience a prolonged power interruption today, Sunday, August 23, 2026, as the Ghana Grid Company Limited (GRIDCo) undertakes critical work to replace a transmission tower damaged in a tanker explosion.and will affect customers within parts of the Accra West and Accra East operational areas of the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG).
