GRIDCo reiterates September 12 deadline for all occupants of pylon right-of-way to vacate

Featured Aug - 23 - 2026 , 21:02 2 minutes read The Ghana Grid Company Limited (GRIDCo) has reminded all persons, businesses, land users, and other entities currently engaged in activities which encroach on high voltage transmission line Right-of-Way (RoW) across the country of the September 12, 2026 deadline to vacate.

The incident prompted GRIDCo to renew its warning against encroachment on transmission line corridors, stressing that unauthorised activities within the RoW pose risks to public safety and the reliability of the national power transmission system.

According to GRIDCo, after the expiration of the deadline, it will work with relevant statutory institutions to enforce the law and remove all unauthorised structures and activities from the transmission line Right-of-Way.
