Otumfuo commends IGP, and Special Operations team for crime-fighting efforts

The commendation was made on Wednesday, 22nd July 2026, when the Ashanti Regional Police Commander, Commissioner of Police Arthur Osei Akoto, led the Director of the IGP’s Special Operations Team, Superintendent Augustine Dawson-Ahmoah, his deputies and other members of the team on a courtesy call on His Royal Majesty at the Manhyia Palace.

His Royal Majesty observed that the sustained intelligence-led operations undertaken by the Special Operations Team have contributed significantly to improving security in the Ashanti Region.
