24, GNA – The Office of the Special Prosecutor (0SP) is to investigate allegations of extortion made by Sammy Gyamfi, the Chief Executive Officer of Ghana Gold Board (GoldBod) against Alexander Afenyo-Markin, the Minority Leader of Parliament.“The (OSP) has taken note of public allegations of extortion and related conduct made by the Chief Executive of Ghana Gold Board, Sammy Gyamfi, against the Minority Leader of Parliament, Alexander Afenyo- Markin,” a statement issued on Monday said.

The Minority held a press conference last weekclaiming that the GoldBod had made a loss of GHC22 billion, citing a record a recent IMF report on gold purchasing programme by the Bank of Ghana to back its case.
