No more pen and paper by end of July for lottery operations – NLA boss
The Director-General of the National Lottery Authority (NLA), Mohammed Abdul-Salam, says the Authority is on course to transition to a fully paperless lottery system by the end of July 2026 as part of efforts to modernise its operations.
Speaking about the NLA's digital transformation agenda, Mr Abdul-Salam said the Authority, in partnership with Fidelity Bank, is deploying point-of-sale (POS) machines to lottery vendors across the country to facilitate the transition.
Mr Abdul-Salam expressed confidence that the rollout of the POS devices would improve efficiency, enhance transparency and accountability, and strengthen revenue mobilisation within the lottery sector.
