“The usage of unprescribed uniforms, unauthorised possession and use of firearms and ammunition as well as security accoutrements by private security personnel, constitutes a serious breach with significant implications for public safety and security,” part of the statement read.

According to a statement issued by the Ministry on June 22, 2026, the suspension follows reports of the alleged use of unprescribed uniforms as well as the possession and use of firearms and ammunition by personnel of the company while providing private security services on Sunday, June 21, 2026.
