EOCO, Engage Now Africa rescue 20 Burkinabè nationals from suspected trafficking network

ENA’s Director of End Modern Slavery, Afasi Komla He reaffirmed the organisation’s commitment to combating human trafficking and other forms of exploitation, while urging members of the public to verify employment offers before accepting them.

Twenty Burkina Faso nationals who were allegedly lured to Ghana with promises of lucrative employment have been rescued from a suspected human-trafficking and cybercrime operation.

The rescue highlights the dangers associated with fraudulent online employment offers and the need for stronger public awareness, cross-border cooperation and enforcement against trafficking networks.
