Chamber of Mines commends government for breakthrough in Adamus Resources dispute

The Chamber described Adamus Resources as one of Ghana's few indigenous large-scale mining operations and said its successful revival was important to protecting jobs, sustaining local businesses and host communities, and preserving the mine's contribution to government revenue and the wider mining value chain.

The Chamber said the resolution of the impasse and the sustainable revival of the mine would be important not only to Adamus Resources but also to workers, host communities, local businesses and the wider mining value chain.“The Ghana Chamber of Mines remains ready to support efforts that protect investments and jobs, promote responsible local participation and strengthen the long-term contribution of mining to Ghana's development,” the statement said.
