Ban on unauthorised use of sirens still in force – Deputy Interior Minister

Deputy Minister for the Interior, Ebenezer Okletey Terlabi, says the government will intensify enforcement against the unlawful use of sirens, with the planned digital traffic enforcement system expected to impose further sanctions on offenders.

He explained that when the digital traffic enforcement system is fully rolled out, cameras will be used to capture traffic offences, including the unlawful use of sirens.“As a first step, if you don’t have a permit to use a siren, stop it immediately because it will be removed when we get hold of you,” he warned.
