25 female KNUST physics students receive GH¢87,500 Whittaker Foundation suppo
Professor Caleb Kesse Frimpong, Head of Department for Biochemistry and Biotechnology and Vice Dean of the Faculty of Biosciences at KNUST, who represented the Provost of the College of Science, expressed his appreciation to the Whittaker Foundation for introducing the financial support arrangement, which has contributed enormously towards female students choosing physics as their course of study.
Twenty-five female students of the Department of Physics at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) have been rewarded for their academic brilliance in physics under the Dr K.
Presently, that small fund, which started in 1998 with one female student per year, is now supporting up to twenty-five students from BSc, MPhil and PhD levels.
