The Governing Board Chair of GAC, Kakra Essamuah, said the government remained steadfast in its commitment to the national HIV response and added that the government would continue to strengthen domestic leadership, integrate HIV priorities into broader national health and development agendas, and support innovative evidence-driven approaches that improved service delivery and ensured equitable access to quality health care for all.

He said the estimates were a reminder that the epidemic remained uneven across regions, districts and age groups and that reducing those disparities and ensuring access to quality HIV services must remain central to the national response.
