GH¢16.4m Gap? Minority demands audit of Ghana’s South Africa evacuation
The Minority in Parliament is demanding an independent audit of the GH¢49.72 million spent on evacuating 1,964 Ghanaians from South Africa amid xenophobic violence. The caucus alleges that documents provided by the Foreign Affairs Ministry reveal a GH¢16.4 million discrepancy and raise questions about payment registers, flight records and reintegration grants. Foreign Affairs Minister Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa says he has invited the Auditor-General to audit evacuation exercises dating back to 2017. #SouthAfricaEvacuation #GhanaNews #JoyNews
