WAEC releases 2026 BECE results, withholds 2,722 candidates’ subject results for scrutiny
The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has withheld the subject results of 2,722 candidates who sat the 2026 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) for further investigation over suspected examination malpractice.
The Council said the subject results of 496 candidates have been cancelled, while the entire results of 105 candidates have also been cancelled.
WAEC advised candidates whose results have been affected to its examination irregularities portal and select the withheld or cancelled results option on the homepage to access details of their cases.
