Star Oil donates GH¢1million towards construction of new CID facility

Oil marketing company Star Oil has donated GH¢1 million to support the construction of a new facility for the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service.
Receiving the donation, Director-General of the CID, COP Lydia Yaako Donkor, said the new facility would address longstanding challenges associated with the department's lack of adequate detention space at its headquarters.
The new facility, estimated at GH¢11 million, is expected to improve the CID’s investigative and operational functions when completed.
