Seth Terkper calls for greater use of diaspora remittances to drive Ghana’s development

The former Finance Minister further pointed to the experience of the so-called "African Lions", noting that several African economies have demonstrated that sustained economic growth is achievable through sound policies and effective mobilisation of domestic and diaspora resources, even in a challenging global environment.

Mr Terkper also observed that the evolving global economic landscape requires Ghana to strengthen its domestic financing capacity, explaining that countries with growing economies are expected to rely less on external assistance and develop sustainable sources of development financing.
