Roads Ministry directs contractors to reduce inconvenience to motorists during construction

Speaking during an inspection of the 49-kilometre Asikuma Junction–Anyirawasi Road Project, Deputy Minister for Roads and Highways and Member of Parliament for Tamale North, Alhassan Suhuyini, apologised to Ghanaians for the inconveniences associated with the ongoing nationwide road construction programme.

The directive follows growing complaints from road users and residents in several parts of the country over excessive dust, traffic disruptions and deteriorating road conditions on roads under construction.

The Ministry of Roads and Highways has directed contractors working on road projects across the country to put in place adequate measures to minimise inconveniences to motorists and residents during construction activities.
