Pursue careers in accountancy to bridge gender gap - Women urged

The President of the Northern Regional Chapter of AWAG, Clara Asigri, pledged to work diligently to promote the professional development of members while encouraging participation of women in leadership positions within the profession.

Professional development Mrs Bonsu-Owu urged members to be ambassadors for the accounting profession by creating awareness of the opportunities available to women and demonstrating their capabilities through excellence and professionalism.

She said the establishment of the regional chapter would provide a platform for members to share knowledge, strengthen professional networks and contribute to national development through sound financial management and accountability.
