Police crack down on fake sirens, seize illegal devices from 188 vehicles in Kumasi Featured Jul - 09 - 2026 , 09:29 1 minute read The Ghana Police Service has seized unauthorised sirens, strobe lights and improvised headlamps from 188 vehicles during a special traffic enforcement exercise in Kumasi in the Ashanti Region.

The Police Service urged motorists to stop installing or using unauthorised sirens, strobe lights and other illegal devices on their vehicles and to comply with the Road Traffic Regulations.

It said unauthorised devices, including sirens, strobe lights and improvised headlamps, were removed and seized from the vehicles, while the drivers involved were taken through the relevant provisions of the Road Traffic Regulations and cautioned against repeating the offences.
