Police probe viral video of officer allegedly kicking complainant’s phone at Akomadan

The Ashanti North Regional Command of the Ghana Police Service has launched an investigation into the conduct of a police officer captured in a viral video allegedly kicking a complainant’s mobile phone during an altercation at the Akomadan Police Station.“The Police officer involved has been identified and investigation has commenced to establish the full facts and circumstances surrounding the incident,” the statement said.

The investigation follows the circulation of a viral video in which a complainant accused the police officer of neglecting her duties when he ed the Akomadan Police Station to lodge an official complaint.
