Police arrest three for disrupting NPP constituency elections at Bidieso

A photo of the suspectsThe Ashanti South Regional Police Command has arrested three persons for allegedly disrupting the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Constituency Executive Election process at Bidieso in Obuasi.

According to the police, the suspects scattered ballot boxes and threatened election officials and voters during the incident.

In a statement issued by the police on July 14, 2026, it said the suspects identified as Haruna Iddrisu alias Dole, Osei Boateng alias Nana Osei, and Charles Opoku alias Blackman, stormed the polling station on July 12, 2026, armed with weapons.
