No government appointee has servants or subjects – Woanyah

1, GNA – Mr Makafui Kofi Woanyah, Volta Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has called on public officials to respect citizens’ right to demand accountability, saying no presidential appointee had servants or subjects.

He therefore condemned, what he described as insults directed at Mr Afenyo-Markin by Mr Sammy Gyamfi, Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Gold Board (GoldBod), saying such conduct was disrespectful to a son of Tsiame, Anlo and the Volta Region.

Addressing a press conference in Ho on Tuesday, Mr Woanyah said public officials were accountable to the Ghanaian people and must therefore be prepared to respond to legitimate questions concerning the management of the country’s resources.
