Mental Health Alliance urges government to operationalise Mental Health Fund

The Alliance stressed that people with disabilities and those with lived experience of mental health conditions should have a meaningful role in shaping the policies and services intended to support them.“While the Mental Health Alliance commends the Government of Ghana for including four mental health conditions on the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS), we call on the government to significantly improve financing for mental health through actualising the Mental Health Fund and adequately resourcing it through domestic resource mobilisation.
