KMA orders removal of unauthorized canopies, awnings at shop frontages in Kumasi

” The Assembly has directed affected persons to voluntarily remove all unauthorized canopies and associated structures from the frontage of their shops and restore the affected areas to their original condition within fourteen (14) days from the date of the notice.

The Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) has issued a 14-day ultimatum to all shop owners and occupiers within the metropolis who have erected unauthorized canopies, awnings, and sheds at the frontage of their premises to remove them immediately.“Failure to comply within the stipulated period will compel the Assembly to remove the offending structures without further notice,” the statement warned.
