GRA Customs pledges stronger collaboration with GPHA to improve port efficiency

28, GNA – The Customs Division of the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) has pledged to strengthen collaboration with the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority (GPHA), to address operational bottlenecks and improve trade facilitation at the country’s ports.

Looking ahead, he said Ghana needed to build a port system that was smarter, fully digital and data-driven, with shorter vessel and cargo turnaround times.

Mr Aaron Kanor, the Commissioner of Customs, speaking at the launch of GPHA’s 40th anniversary celebration, said Customs and GPHA shared a common destiny because the efficiency and growth of the ports directly affected trade and national revenue.
