The Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Gold Board (GoldBod), Sammy Gyamfi, says the institution has purchased close to two metric tonnes of gold as part of efforts to strengthen Ghana’s gold reserves and improve the country’s economic resilience.

Mr Gyamfi said the acquisition formed part of GoldBod’s broader mandate to manage Ghana’s gold resources in a manner that delivers greater economic value to the country.“We have bought close to two metric tonnes of gold to support Ghana’s gold reserves,” Mr Gyamfi said.
