Gold buyer shot dead in Agona Nkwanta robbery, suspect arrested over killing dies in custody

A 40-year-old gold buyer, Seth Kobina, was shot dead during an armed robbery at his shop at Agona Fie, near Agona Nkwanta in the Western Region.

A search of Mr Quayeson’s residence led to the recovery of a locally manufactured pistol, three live BB cartridges, a metal bar and two cutlasses.

The police said Mr Amponsah subsequently took ill and was rushed to the Effia Nkwanta Regional Hospital for medical attention, but was pronounced dead on arrival.
