During this year's clinical placements in selected hospitals in Kumasi, JMU students observed that the hospital's Emergency Unit lacked a defibrillator: a critical device used in managing cardiac emergencies.

Response In response, James Madison University procured the equipment, valued at GH¢26,000, to support emergency healthcare delivery at the hospital.
