Economy Committee warns institutions against ignoring invitation, threatens sanctions

The Economy and Development Committee of Parliament has warned that ministries, departments and agencies (MDAs) that failaure to honour its invitation to participate in the review of the 2025 Annual Progress Report will face sanctions, insisting that public institutions must remain accountable for their performance and use of public resources."Failure without a cause to honour the committee's invitation or to provide required information will be viewed seriously by the committee, as inconsistent with the standards of accountability, transparency and responsible governance that underpin the government's reset agenda," he warned.

He said active participation by public institutions is a demonstration of their commitment to accountability.
