DVLA to introduce on-site licence printing nationwide to cut long delays

This will allow motorists who have lost or damaged their cards to obtain replacements at their local DVLA offices without having to endure the prolonged waiting periods associated with the existing system.

The planned nationwide rollout of on-site printing is therefore expected to significantly shorten the time applicants wait for replacement driving licences once the system becomes fully operational.

Kotey explained that the new on-site printing system will initially focus on replacement licences.
