DVLA surplus jumps from GH¢5m to GH¢25m in 2025 – CEO

The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) recorded a surplus of GH¢25 million in the 2025 financial year, up from GH¢5 million in 2024, its Chief Executive Officer, Julius Neequaye Kotey, has disclosed.
However, further clarification is required on whether the revised GH¢2 million cost represents an annual payment or the total cost for the three-year period.
The Authority projects annual savings of approximately US$50 million from the changes.
