DDEP: Government pays GH¢10.82bn coupon to bondholders

82 billion to bondholders under the Domestic Debt Exchange Programme (DDEP), according to the Ministry of Finance.

The latest payment follows an assurance by Finance Minister Dr Cassiel Ato Forson during the 2026 Mid-Year Budget Review in Parliament that the government would honour the coupon payment due on August 18.

According to the Ministry, the payment will help strengthen investor confidence, reduce Ghana’s sovereign default risk and reinforce the country’s financial credibility.
