Contractors on $500m World Bank road projects will face sanctions for poor work – Agbodza

Roads and Highways Minister Kwame Governs Agbodza has assured Parliament that road projects to be funded under the newly approved US$500 million World Bank credit facility will be subjected to strict monitoring to ensure quality execution.

He explained that the funding will support the rehabilitation of feeder roads and improve farm-to-market connectivity in selected districts, noting that the Ministry is determined to ensure value for money through effective supervision.

We will ensure that every cedi and every dollar invested translates into durable roads that serve the people," he added.
