Boamah questions government: “Where are the 800,000 jobs?  

Contributing to the debate on Mid-Year Budget Review of the 2026 Budget Statement and Economic Policy in Parliament, in Accra, on Tuesday, Mr Boamah questioned the government’s priorities despite reporting strong revenue performance.

Section 28(1) of Act 921 states: “The Minister shall, not later than the 31st day of July of each financial year, give a mid-year fiscal policy review of the budget statement to Parliament.

A Mid-Year Budget Review is when the Minister of Finance goes to Parliament halfway through the fiscal year to report on how the economy and the national budget are performing.
