Afenyo-Markin will be out for NDC MP in Effutu – Okai Mintah

Speaking during a mobilisation drive in Winneba on August 26, 2026, Mintah emphasised that energising branch-level youth structures will be central to dismantling the NPP's hold on the constituency Addressing branch youth organisers and grassroots activists in Winneba as part of his ongoing engagement with the party’s youth structures, Mintah said the Effutu parliamentary seat must be a major target for the NDC as the party prepares for the next general elections.

The Winneba engagement forms part of Mintah’s broader effort to engage branch youth organisers and grassroots activists, strengthen the party’s youth structures and build an election-ready organisation ahead of the 2028 general elections.

He said the party’s renewed grassroots approach would involve identifying local challenges, communicating the NDC’s policies and achievements effectively, expanding its volunteer network, and ensuring young people are given meaningful responsibilities in the mobilisation process.
