Accra ranked 18th among world’s top nightlife cities in 2026

Accra’s 18th-place ranking reflects the growing diversity of its nightlife scene, from long-standing Osu favourites to emerging East Legon venues and alternative music communities, further strengthening the capital’s reputation as a major destination for music, culture and entertainment.

Accra has been ranked the 18th-best nightlife city in the world in 2026, earning a place among the global destinations recognised for their vibrant after-dark culture.

The Ghanaian capital featured in Time Out’s global ranking of the world’s best nightlife cities, which assessed destinations based on the quality and affordability of their nightlife, as well as community, safety, diversity, excitement and how welcoming they are to ors and residents.
