Ablakwa-led committee submits five reports to Mahama ahead of 2027 AU chairmanship

A committee tasked with developing a strategy document, priority pillars and work programme for President John Mahama’s 2027 African Union (AU) chairmanship has completed its work and submitted five reports to the President.

According to the Foreign Affairs Minister, the preparatory work is aimed at positioning President Mahama’s tenure to deliver meaningful and lasting results for Africa.

Foreign Affairs Minister Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, who chaired the committee, said the reports were formally presented to President Mahama at the Presidency on Friday, August 21.
