LA Pleasure Beach Demolition Leaves Traders Counting Their Losses

People affected by the demolition of structures at La Pleasure Beach in Accra have accused the authorities of failing to inform them before the exercise. The affected vendors and business operators say they were taken by surprise when military and police personnel arrived at the beach in the early hours of Friday and ordered them to leave, leaving several structures demolished and their livelihoods at risk.
