GAUA strike leaves some KNUST administrative offices operating below capacity

The ongoing strike by the Ghana Association of University Administrators (GAUA) has begun to disrupt administrative services at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), with some students and national service personnel being asked to return at a later date to access services.
Speaking on the impact of the strike, the chapter's General Secretary, Kwadwo Asenso Fanwel, said the association was mindful of the need to maintain its professional and ethical responsibilities even while participating in the industrial action.
One of those affected by the disruption told JoyNews on Thursday, 8 October, that she had travelled to the university to have her National Service Scheme (NSS) documentation endorsed but was informed upon arrival that she would have to return later.
