Suspected gold ore thieves granted bail

Jul - 25 - 2026 , 17:15 1 minute read TWO persons accused of stealing gold ore and arraigned before the Nkawie Circuit Court have been granted bail of GH¢100,000 with two sureties each.

Presenting the facts of the case before the court, the Prosecutor, Chief Inspector Anthony Ohene Gyan, said the complainant, Jonas Alban, was the security supervisor of Asanko Gold Mining Limited at Esaase in the Amansie West District.

He said on June 15, at about midnight, the complainant and some colleague security guards saw the accused persons carrying away eight ores of gold whose value could not be determined then, concealed in sacks from the mining site.
