MoFA, partners equip agro-dealers to improve access to quality seeds in northern Ghana

The Upper East Regional Director of Agriculture, Alhaji Zakaria Fuseini, described the workshop as timely, stressing that quality seed remained the foundation of agricultural production.

The Ministry of Food and Agriculture (MoFA), in collaboration with the Seed Systems Group (SSG) and the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research–Savanna Agricultural Research Institute (CSIR-SARI), has organised a capacity-building workshop for agro-input dealers to improve farmers' access to quality seeds and boost agricultural productivity in northern Ghana.

It aimed to enhance the participants' technical knowledge of seed handling, business management, record-keeping, regulatory compliance and the responsible use of agricultural inputs to boost food production and climate-resilient agriculture.
