Yendi Municipality schools resume academic activities

The temporary closure followed the demise of the Yaa Naa on July 12, which plunged the Dagbon Kingdom into mourning and led to the suspension of academic work to enable the public to observe traditional customs and Islamic prayers in honour of the late monarch.

The late Yaa Naa Abukari II, whose passing has been widely described as a great loss to Dagbon chieftaincy institution, was laid to rest in accordance with Islamic tradition, with the three-day Adua concluding on Saturday.
