Who is Kenneth Gilbert Adjei? The former Deputy Defence Minister returning to lead Ghana’s Defence Ministry

His previous experience as Deputy Defence Minister, coupled with his academic qualifications in peace, security and intelligence management, is likely to feature prominently as he prepares for parliamentary approval and formally assumes one of the country's most strategic ministerial positions.

Nearly a year later, the President has settled on Mr Adjei, a politician with previous Defence Ministry experience and specialised academic training in security and intelligence, to take over the portfolio permanently.
