Weather today: GMET warns of reduced visibility and widespread rainfall

According to the agency's latest 18-hour weather forecast, thunderstorms will persist over portions of the northern sector at the start of the day, with light rain also expected in parts of the south.

The Ghana Meteorological Agency (GMET) has forecast thunderstorms and rain over parts of northern Ghana on Friday morning, while mist and fog are expected to reduce visibility across sections of southern Ghana during the early hours.

Northern Ghana is expected to experience the most active weather, with thunderstorms forecast for communities including Yendi, Tamale, Bolgatanga, Nalerigu and Wa.
